The society presents lectures on the geographic, historical and human aspects of the Hoylake district and environs, serving West Kirby, Hoylake, Meols, Caldy, Grange, Newton, Frankby and Greasby.

It is affiliated to Civic Voice, the national civic movement for England. As such, it supports any work which makes our district more attractive, enjoyable and distinctive and which promotes civic pride.
